How to use the Windhager insect hotel

Hang the insect hotel in a sunny, sheltered spot in the garden or on the balcony – ideally at a height of at least one metre to keep predators away. The openings should face south or south-east. Fill the chambers with natural filling material such as bamboo canes, reeds or pine cones (not included). Observe which insects move in together with your children. Do not clean the hotel, leave it over the winter and replace old filling material in spring if necessary.
