Wild Country WC Carabiner Session Bent Gate – Climbing Carabiner with Bent Gate
The Wild Country WC Carabiner Session Bent Gate is a lightweight climbing carabiner with a curved gate. It is designed for quick and secure rope clipping and is suitable for demanding climbs from rock climbing to big wall ascents.
The bent gate enables fast, intuitive rope clipping – especially when clipping draws or building anchors.
With a breaking strength of 8 kN along the major axis, the carabiner provides the necessary safety during climbing moves and falls.
Its low weight of just 54 g reduces additional load on the harness and makes it easy to carry on multi-pitch routes.
The black anodized finish is discreet and resistant to abrasion and corrosion.
Versatile combination with slings, quickdraws and other climbing gear.
What sets the WC Carabiner Session Bent Gate apart
The bent gate opens more easily than a straight gate, allowing the climber to clip the rope one-handed. Wild Country has engineered this carabiner specifically for wall use: robust construction with minimal weight. The 8 kN breaking strength exceeds the UIAA minimum requirements for climbing carabiners.
Ideal for…
Climbers who tackle technical terrain up to big wall routes – whether on alpine rock or in the gym. The bent gate is especially advantageous for quick clipping of intermediate protection and for lead climbing transitions. Can also be used as a quickdraw carabiner in combination with a sling or quickdraw.
How to use the Wild Country carabiner
Ensure the gate always faces upward when clipping – this allows the rope to slide into the closed carabiner by itself. Open the gate with one hand and insert the rope. Let the gate snap shut audibly before loading. Check the carabiner regularly for cracks or deformation.

It is a climbing carabiner with a bent gate that makes rope clipping easier. It is mainly used in sport climbing, alpine climbing and big wall climbing for clipping draws, connecting ropes and building anchors.
The breaking strength is at least 8 kN along the major axis (gate closed, load applied lengthwise). This exceeds the UIAA safety requirements for climbing carabiners.
It weighs only 54 grams, making it a lightweight companion for multi-pitch routes and reducing additional harness load.
Yes, its application range includes rock climbing, big wall climbing and related disciplines. It can be used both in the gym and on real rock.
The carabiner is black with an anodized finish. For maintenance, rinse it with fresh water after climbing to remove dirt and salts. Check regularly for cracks or deformation. Replace immediately if damaged.
