Vic Firth VFRUTE Rutes – Light Birch Wood Rods for Natural Drum Sound

The Vic Firth VFRUTE Rutes are drum rods made from a bundle of thin birch wood sticks. They produce a brighter and softer sound than traditional drumsticks, making them ideal for quiet practice sessions or acoustic performances.

• The light birch wood sticks offer a flexible playing feel and reduce fatigue during long sessions.
• Thanks to their quiet attack, the Rutes are perfect for silent rehearsal rooms and acoustic gigs.
• The 1-pair set is ready to use and ensures balanced sound projection.
• 24 months manufacturer warranty provides long-term investment security.

What sets Vic Firth VFRUTE Rutes apart

Unlike solid drumsticks, the Rutes consist of many thin sticks that provide a natural, springy rebound. This design allows for very fine dynamic nuances while protecting drum shells and cymbal surfaces.

Ideal for...

The Vic Firth VFRUTE Rutes are aimed at drummers who want to play quietly or perform in acoustic, jazz, or unplugged settings. They are also a great addition to a classic stick setup for teaching studios.

How to use Vic Firth VFRUTE Rutes

Hold the Rutes loosely in your hand like a regular drumstick. Thanks to the flexible construction, a light wrist movement produces a clear, natural sound. Vary the striking point – closer to the tip gives a brighter tone. Store in a dry place; individual sticks can be replaced if worn.
