The magnets adhere to all ferromagnetic metal surfaces: whiteboards, metal bulletin boards, office shelves, or refrigerators. They are not suitable for non-metallic surfaces.
The holding power is stated as 'light'. It is sufficient for paper notes and thin documents, but not for heavy items or thick stacks.
