Siemens Circuit Breaker – Circuit Protection for Domestic Installations
The Siemens circuit breaker is a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) designed to protect electrical cables from overload and short circuit. It features a C-curve, suitable for applications with moderate inrush currents such as lighting and sockets.
Rated current of 16 A protects standard circuits in homes and small businesses.
Breaking capacity of 6 kA ensures safety against high short-circuit currents.
Compact 1-module width (1TE) saves space in the distribution board and allows flexible installation.
2-pole design (1+N) switches phase and neutral and increases system safety.
24-month manufacturer warranty from Siemens provides long-term investment security.
What sets the circuit breaker apart
The C-curve responds to overloads with a time delay that avoids unwanted tripping due to brief inrush currents. With a breaking capacity of 6 kA, it meets the requirements of most domestic installations. DIN rail mounting and the slim 1-module width make it ideal for tight distribution cabinets.
Ideal for...
Electricians and homeowners looking to protect their circuits in apartments, single-family houses, and small commercial premises. Also suitable for sub-distribution boards and meter cabinets.
How to use the circuit breaker
Snap the breaker onto the DIN rail in the distribution board. After disconnecting the power, connect the phase and neutral conductors to the respective terminals – phase at the top, neutral at the bottom. Check the wiring against the plan and switch the breaker on.

A miniature circuit breaker (MCB) protects electrical cables from overload and short circuit. It disconnects the circuit when current exceeds a safe level, preventing damage to the installation and fire.
It is used in domestic and commercial installations to protect cables from overload and short circuit. It is suitable for 1+N systems (2 poles) with a rated current of 16 A.
The breaker has a C-curve, a breaking capacity of 6 kA, and a width of 1 module (1TE). No residual current protection (FI) is integrated.
Yes, the breaker is designed for DIN rail mounting and only requires 1TE of space. It fits standard distribution boards and is designed for 1+N circuits.
Siemens provides a 24-month manufacturer's warranty. This ensures reliable operation and safety throughout the period.
