How to use the Camera Cable
Connect the cable with the MIPI connector to the CSI port of the Raspberry Pi (mainboard). Connect the CSI connector to the camera. Ensure correct orientation of the contacts (silver side facing the board). The cable can be plugged even while the system is running if the camera has been previously disabled (dtparam=disable_camera).
