Nisi Explorer Reverse nano GND8 – Graduated Neutral Density Filter for Precise Exposure
The Nisi Explorer Reverse nano GND8 is a high-quality graduated neutral density filter, specifically designed for landscape and architecture photography. Its reverse gradient characteristic allows precise control over bright horizon areas without excessively darkening the darker parts of the image.
The reverse gradient keeps the strongest darkening at the horizon, ideal for sunrises and sunsets.
The 3-stop darkening (GND8) compensates for high contrast differences and ensures balanced exposure.
The nano coating reduces reflections and ghosting for sharp results.
With 100x150 mm, the filter fits common holder systems for professional lenses.
What sets the Nisi Explorer Reverse nano GND8 apart
The combination of reverse gradient and nano coating sets this filter apart from standard graduated neutral density filters. Photographers can precisely control exposure even in difficult lighting conditions while maximizing image quality.
Ideal for...
This filter is the first choice for landscape photographers who often work at sunrise or sunset. Architecture and travel photographers also benefit from reliable control over bright sky areas.
How to use the Nisi Explorer Reverse nano GND8
Insert the filter into a compatible 100 mm holder system and position it so that the darkest part of the gradient covers the brightest part of the subject. Check the exposure in Live View and adjust the position if necessary to achieve the optimal result.
Nisi is a manufacturer of photographic filters and accessories, known for its high-quality graduated filters and innovative coating technologies. The products are aimed at demanding photographers who value optical precision.
A reverse graduated neutral density filter has its strongest darkening in the center, at the horizon. This allows bright areas directly above the horizon, such as during sunrises and sunsets, to be darkened in a targeted manner.
The filter has a size of 100x150 mm and fits common 100 mm holder systems used for professional lenses.
3 stops (GND8) means the filter reduces light by 3 f-stops. This compensates for high contrast differences between the sky and the foreground.
The delivery includes the Nisi Explorer Reverse nano GND8 filter. A holder system is not included and must be purchased separately.
Clean the filter gently with a microfiber cloth and a suitable cleaner for optical glass. Avoid aggressive solvents to protect the nano coating.
