Kosmos ReBotz Duke Skating-Bot Experiment Kit, Ages 8+

Kosmos ReBotz Duke Skating-Bot – Build Your Own Rolling Robot

The Kosmos ReBotz Duke Skating-Bot is a hands-on experiment kit that lets young builders assemble a working skating robot from scratch. Part of the ReBotz series, it combines mechanical engineering with playful experimentation.

• Build a functional skating robot with realistic motion
• Includes all components needed for a complete build
• Teaches core robotics and mechanical principles through play
• Suitable for children aged 8 and up with an interest in technology

What makes the ReBotz Duke special

The skating-bot mechanism translates simple motor input into smooth, gliding movement across flat surfaces. The kit focuses on tangible cause-and-effect learning — every gear and wheel is part of a working system the builder can see and touch.

Ideal for curious builders aged 8+

Children who enjoy hands-on construction and want to understand how machines move will find this kit engaging. It bridges the gap between a simple toy and a genuine introduction to robotics and mechanical engineering.

How to use the ReBotz Duke Skating-Bot

1. Assemble the chassis and mounting components following the illustrated guide
2. Install the motor and connect the drive mechanism
3. Attach the wheels and test the skating motion on a smooth surface
4. Experiment with different surfaces and observe how the robot responds
