Korg CA-2 Chromatic Tuner – Precision Tuning for Every Instrument
The Korg CA-2 is a compact, battery-powered chromatic tuner designed for musicians who need fast and reliable pitch detection across all 12 semitones. Its large, easy-to-read display shows the detected note and deviation in cents, making it suitable for both practice and live performance.
Chromatic tuning covers all 12 semitones for any instrument or key
Large backlit display with note name and cent deviation for quick reading
Battery-powered operation — no cables or power outlet needed
Ultra-compact and lightweight, fits in any gig bag or pocket
What sets the Korg CA-2 apart
Unlike simpler clip-on tuners that detect only open strings, the CA-2 listens through a built-in microphone and identifies the exact pitch of any played note — chords, harmonics, and alternate tunings included. The cent-scale display gives feedback precise enough for studio work and stage use alike.
Ideal for...
Guitarists, bass players, violinists, and wind instrumentalists who need a portable, no-fuss tuning solution. The CA-2 is also well suited for music students and classroom settings where multiple instruments are tuned in sequence.
Application of the Korg CA-2
Power on the tuner and select chromatic mode
Play a note — the display shows the closest pitch and deviation
Adjust the instrument until the indicator centres and the note name matches the desired pitch
Korg is a Japanese manufacturer founded in 1962, specialising in electronic tuners, effects pedals, and musical instruments. The CA-2 chromatic tuner is one of their most widely recognised products, known for its large backlit display and reliable pitch detection across all 12 semitones.
The Korg CA-2 is used to tune any musical instrument to the correct pitch. It detects all 12 chromatic semitones and displays the note name and deviation in cents on a large backlit screen.
The CA-2 works with any instrument that produces an audible pitch — guitars, basses, violins, wind instruments, keyboards, and others. The built-in microphone picks up the sound directly.
The display shows the detected note name and a cent deviation value. When the indicator is centred at 0 cents, the instrument is in tune. Positive or negative values indicate whether the pitch is sharp or flat.
The Korg CA-2 chromatic tuner unit, a wrist strap, and a user manual. A battery is not included.
Korg provides a 24-month manufacturer warranty on the CA-2 chromatic tuner, covering material and manufacturing defects.
