Homematic IP is a wireless smart home system by eQ-3 that enables remote control of heating, shutters, and lighting through a dedicated app. The brand focuses on retrofit-friendly, protocol-agnostic devices that integrate into existing home infrastructure without requiring proprietary hubs beyond the Homematic IP App. Products are distributed primarily through specialist retailers and online shops in the DACH region.
The set includes one Access Point 2 and three Heizkörperthermostate (radiator thermostats), all in white (Weiss).
The Homematic IP App is required. It is available for iOS and Android and serves as the central control interface for all connected devices.
The system uses WLAN (Wi-Fi) for communication between the Access Point 2 and the thermostats, as well as for system communication with the app.
The Access Point 2 supports up to three Heizkörperthermostate in this starter configuration. Additional thermostats can be added depending on the system capacity.
The Homematic IP Starter Set comes with a 24-month manufacturer warranty.
