Place the candle on a heat-resistant, flat surface away from drafts and flammable materials. Light with a long match or lighter and allow the wax pool to reach the edges during the first burn for an even burn profile. Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before each lighting to minimise soot and maximise burn time.
