How to use Hauert Horn Shavings
Sprinkle the horn shavings evenly in spring onto prepared soil or between existing plants. Work them in lightly and water if possible. The fertilising effect lasts two to four months depending on soil temperature. Apply 50–100 g per square metre for a base dressing. After three to four months, a top-up with half the amount can be applied.

Since horn shavings release nitrogen slowly, over-fertilisation is unlikely. However, it is advisable not to exceed the recommended dosage significantly to achieve optimal growth.
