Setup is app-assisted: install the companion app on a smartphone or tablet, place the remote facing the target device, select the device type in the app, and follow the on-screen pairing instructions. The remote learns the infrared commands automatically. Alternatively, manual setup via the remote control itself is also supported.
The remote uses infrared (IR) transmission, which requires a direct line of sight to the controlled device. The effective range is typically 3 to 5 metres depending on the target device's IR receiver sensitivity. It does not support radio-frequency or Bluetooth connectivity.
