It is a natural terrarium substrate made from coconut shell fibre, designed for tropical reptile and amphibian habitats that require a moist, naturalistic flooring.
One 7 l brick covers approximately 0.5–1 m² at a recommended layer depth of 5–10 cm, depending on the terrarium size and desired depth.
It is best suited for tropical species such as tree frogs, dart frogs, and small reptiles. For arid or desert species, a different substrate type is recommended.
Soak the brick in water for several minutes until it fully expands, then squeeze out excess water so the substrate is moist but not dripping before spreading it in the terrarium.
Replace the substrate every 4–6 weeks or sooner if it becomes heavily soiled. Spot-clean waste regularly to maintain hygiene between full replacements.
