Ernie Ball 2922 Slinky M-Steel Electric Guitar Strings

Ernie Ball 2922 Slinky M-Steel – Hybrid 09-46 Electric Guitar Strings

The Ernie Ball 2922 Slinky M-Steel set delivers a balanced feel with a bright, articulate tone across all six strings. The hybrid gauge combination pairs lighter treble strings for easy bending with heavier bass strings for full, resonant low-end.

• Hybrid 09-46 gauge set combines fast playability in the treble with solid sustain and volume in the bass
• 24 months manufacturer warranty provides long-term reliability and peace of mind for gigging and practice
• 6-string set designed specifically for standard electric guitar tuning and scale length
• Light-gauge treble strings (09) reduce finger fatigue during extended playing sessions

What sets the 2922 Slinky M-Steel apart

The M-Steel wire composition gives the strings a brighter, more cutting tone compared to standard nickel-wound sets, while the hybrid gauge layout preserves the comfort of a light action on the higher strings. Ernie Ball's decades of string manufacturing expertise are reflected in the consistent winding and precise gauge tolerances.

Ideal for...

Electric guitar players who want a versatile set that handles both rhythm and lead playing with equal confidence. The hybrid 09-46 gauge is especially suited for players who prefer a lighter touch on the treble strings without sacrificing low-end presence and tuning stability.

Application of the 2922 Slinky M-Steel

Install the strings on a standard electric guitar, tuning to standard EADGBE. The set includes all six strings in a single pack. For best results, stretch each string gently after installation and tune up repeatedly until stable.
