Dörr Vario-ND2.5-500 Grey Filter DHG – Flexible neutral density filter for creative long exposures
The Dörr Vario-ND2.5-500 Grey Filter DHG is an adjustable neutral density filter with a filter diameter of 67 mm. It reduces the amount of light reaching the camera sensor, allowing longer exposure times even in bright light.
The continuously adjustable filter covers an ND range from 2.5 to 500, adapting flexibly to different lighting conditions.
With its 67 mm thread, the filter screws directly onto common lenses with this diameter – no additional adapters needed.
The Digital High Grade coating reduces reflections and ensures clear, high-contrast images.
Thanks to the variable ND range, the filter is ideal for long exposures of waterfalls, clouds, or traffic – without carrying multiple filters.
What sets the Dörr variable ND filter apart
Unlike fixed ND filters, the variable filter offers continuously adjustable darkening. This saves weight in the camera bag and allows quick adjustments without changing filters. The high-quality workmanship and multi-layer coating ensure consistent image quality across the entire adjustment range.

The filter is aimed at ambitious hobby photographers and semi-professionals who shoot landscapes, architecture, or long exposures. Videographers also benefit from the variable darkening to film with a wide aperture in bright light.
How to use the Dörr variable ND filter
Screw the filter directly onto the lens thread with a 67 mm diameter. Turn the outer ring to set the desired darkening. For long exposures, using a tripod and a remote shutter release is recommended to avoid camera shake.
Dörr is a German company that manufactures photographic accessories and optical products. The brand offers a wide range of filters, tripods, and lighting solutions for photographers and videographers. Dörr products are known for their good value for money.
A grey filter reduces the amount of light reaching the camera sensor without altering colors. This allows longer exposure times or wider apertures even in bright light, which is used for long exposures or creative blur effects.
The filter has a 67 mm thread and fits all lenses with this filter diameter. Lenses with a different diameter require an adapter ring.
The filter is continuously adjustable from ND2.5 to ND500. This corresponds to a reduction of approximately 1.3 to 9 stops.
The delivery includes the Dörr Vario-ND2.5-500 Grey Filter DHG with a diameter of 67 mm. A storage box or case is not included.
