Delock heat shrink tubing with adhesive, 5 m length and 6.4 mm diameter, polyolefin, ideal for waterproof cable connections in modeling and electronics.
Delock Heat Shrink Tubing with Adhesive – Waterproof Insulation for Cable Connections
The Delock heat shrink tubing with built-in adhesive is ideal for sealing and insulating cable connections. The adhesive layer melts during shrinking and provides a reliable waterproof seal.
5 meters length covers multiple applications – no need to reorder for small projects
6.4 mm diameter fits common cable sizes in modeling and electronics
Inner adhesive completely seals the connection – protects against moisture and corrosion
Polyolefin material is flexible and heat-resistant – withstands typical shrink temperatures
What sets the Delock heat shrink tubing apart
Unlike standard tubing without adhesive, this version offers an additional sealing layer. The inner adhesive melts under heat and flows into all gaps – perfect for outdoor connections or humid environments.
Ideal for...
The tubing is designed for model builders, electronics enthusiasts, automotive technicians, and anyone who needs to insulate cable connections safely and durably. For use in RC models, boats, RVs, or home installations.
How to use the Delock heat shrink tubing
Cut the tubing to the desired length
Slide it over the cable to be connected
Heat evenly with a hot air gun or lighter until the tubing shrinks and adhesive appears
Delock is a German manufacturer of cables, adapters and accessories for computer and electronic applications. The company offers a wide range of products for professionals and DIY enthusiasts. Delock stands for quality and reliability in connection technology.
Heat shrink tubing with adhesive is a polyolefin tube that shrinks when heated. The inner adhesive layer melts and forms a waterproof, strain-resistant seal around the cable connection.
It is suitable for insulating and sealing cable connections indoors and outdoors, especially in humid environments. Typical applications include modeling, automotive electronics, marine, solar panels, and home installations.
The shrinking temperature is typically between 90°C and 125°C. A hot air gun or a lighter with adjustable flame is suitable. Avoid overheating the cable.
Polyolefin tubing offers some UV resistance but is not designed for permanent direct sunlight exposure. For long-term outdoor use with high UV exposure, additional UV protection or specialized UV-resistant tubing is recommended.
Slide the tubing over the cable, then heat evenly with a hot air gun (approx. 125°C) from one side to the other. The tubing shrinks and adhesive appears at the ends – indicating a complete seal. Allow to cool.
