How to use the Canon PFI-1000CO
Simply insert the ink cartridge into the designated slot in your imagePROGRAF PRO printer. The printer automatically detects it and manages the application of the Chroma Optimizer during printing. Protect the cartridge from direct sunlight and store it sealed when not in use.

The Chroma Optimizer is a clear varnish ink applied as a final layer in Canon imagePROGRAF PRO printers. It creates an even, glossy surface and prevents unsightly gloss differences (bronzing) on glossy papers.
The PFI-1000CO cartridge is compatible with Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, PRO-2000, PRO-4000, and PRO-6000 series printers. It replaces the older PFI-700CO series and fits into the corresponding slot.
The cartridge contains 80 ml of ink. Canon rates the yield at approximately 97 pages (at 5% coverage in normal mode). Actual yield varies depending on the print job and paper type.
Canon recommends using original inks as they are optimally tuned to the print heads and ink system. Third-party inks can cause clogs, color shifts, or reduced print longevity.
Store the cartridge in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, it should be used within six months. Unopened, it has a shelf life of approximately two years.
